AnneK - my artistic alias - is derived from my full name, Anne Kretschmer. I’m a self-taught figurative painter based in Cologne, Germany. Painting and drawing has accompanied me since childhood, providing me with a creative escape from my academic and professional pursuits outside of art.

I find myself drawn to an array of themes and techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries of my artistic repertoire. Presently, my focus lies on portraiture and still life compositions in oil. In addition, I am also venturing into the realms of landscapes and cityscapes, embracing the challenges and delights each subject matter brings to my palette.
